What's
New...
Our therapeutic groups are age specific (pre-teen/10-13 & teen/14-17) and are held twice
monthly on Mondays, 6:30pm-7:45pm. These groups address problem solving and socialization skills, peer relations, conflict
resolution, managing emotions and adoption/foster care challenges.
Registration
is being accepted now for the upcoming cycle, which begins June 7, 2010. Cost is $55.00 per session. Please
contact us for more details and to register.
Parent groups are held concurrently with therapeutic youth groups. Cost is $55.00
per couple.
We offer workshops to foster care, adoption and child placement agencies in Northern Virginia and the metropolitan
area. Please contact us regarding your training needs and arrange to schedule a training tailored to meet
your organizational needs.
Are you interested in facilitating the BodyWorks program in your community?
--- It's very simple...attend a "Train-the-Trainer" one day session.
We offer customized training sessions which can be held on-site at your organization, community center, etc. Please

BodyWorks is a 10 week
program which focuses on helping girls and boys ages 9 to 13 and their families create healthier lifestyles. Each
caregiver who enroll will receive a Body Works toolkit filled with great stuff!
This program was developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health.
This program is unique as groups can be facilitated at area
community locations, too. Cost is $35.00 per person for the entire program and includes all materials. Please
contact us for more details, to register or to arrange to have this program offered in your community, school or church group.
This short-term skilled based group series is designed for all parents, including teenage parents.
All caregivers will learn to:
*Recognize & respond to their
baby's individual attachment cues.
*Engage fully in bonding.
*Maintain meeting their child's needs while rejoining the workforce.
*Help their child calm down and be comforted.
*Create an emotionally safe environment.
*And other topics.
This small group series is offered in two parts (Instruction & Parent-Child Demonstration/Observation).
